Asulam Emergency Authorisation granted
The BCG's application for an emergency authorisation (EA) to cover the 2018 season has received ministerial approval. The draft documents are available on the asulam page of the website.
The EA will allow asulam to be used for bracken control from 1 July until 31 October 2017.
The application for the registration of asulam under the latest EU regulations is still making progress through the EU system. The result is expected by the spring of 2018. Additional authorisation will be required and it is not clear when a final decision about registration of the product Asulox can be completed.
