The Asulam page on the website has been updated.

Details about the loss of asulox have been included.  Information about the approvals granted for its use in 2023 have been retained for reference purposes.

It is recognised that the loss of Asulox leaves a massive gap in the ability to control bracken.  There is no immediate replacement although it is hoped to continue research that is already underway.  

Recent trials have identified concerns about the use of the herbicides glyphosate (RoundUp) and amidsodulfuron (Squire Ultra).  A summary of these concerns has been provided on the Asulam webpage with links to further information.
