Bracken Control Group

The question of bracken and its control is as ever, ongoing and the BCG is continuing to identify new avenues, areas of research and continues to liaise with stakeholders. The effort to seek out funding is also still ongoing with hopes that the work undertaken by the BCG will be able to continue.

The annual online meeting of BCG sector representatives took place on the 31st October discussing the consequences of the removal of Asulox and the future of the BCG with an open discussion on next steps and actions (meeting minutes here.) 

From this, a BCG working group is currently in formation and new briefings are in the works. The Year 1 research reports for the NBCCT (National Bracken Chemical Control Trials) will also soon be reported and uploaded to the website, with Year 2 data and reports currently underway.
